2013 Q2: the worst quarter for commodity prices since 2011 Q4

Our basket of commodities has seen average quarterly prices fall over seven of the last eight quarters and most commodity prices continued to slide in the first half of the year. As a whole, 2013 looks set to be a rerun of 2012: the average full year price of our basket is expected to have declined 11% from the previous year with six commodities prices rising against 22 with prices declining.
