Advanced ceramic technology in metal casting industry

Driven by the intense competition seen all over the metal casting industry today, it paves way to two kinds of processes - those which are highly automated & can produce in bulk at bare minimum cost and firms employing minimum skill, low cost labor. Instead one area where a conventional metal casting facility can still compete is in the production of precision cast components. A wide spectrum of metals and alloys are processed by casting involving transfer of molten metal into shaped tooling. Intricate shapes can be produced, which require less machining and finishing operations than are required for other processes.
