Volvo CE joins India's infra developmen mission with fuel efficient excavators

India's massive 12th Five Year Investment plan worth Rs 50,00,000 crore for infrastructure sector creates huge demand for fuel efficient construction machinery and equipment for road sector projects which are under different stages of implementation. India's road infrastructure development implementation is a part of the five year plans through initiatives like National Highways Development Program (NHDP), Pradhan Mantri Gram SadakYojana (PMGSY), Bharat Nirman etc. More importantly, Volvo has joined hands with CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) to train machine operators and engineers in global standards of road construction equipment handling, as well as, to act as advisors to various industry bodies like IRC, NHAI, BIS and NRRDA on the need for proper benchmarking in machine technology and overall operational and cost efficiency in machine usage.
