Govt's thrust to steel, infra projects to propel refractories sector

TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd, formerly Tata. Refractories Ltd, in association with the Japan-based Krosaki Harima Corp (KHC) has a world standing of 4th position in refractories industry today. The company's managing director, Dr Amp Kumar Chattopadhyay, says the tie-up not only provides superior products to domestic customers but also puts TRL Krosaki in strong position to address needs of demanding customers overseas. Dr Chattopadhyay, in conversation with Paresh Parmar, shares his views on the domestic refractories market, which is reeling under the slow pace of growth in GDP having impact on the steel, cement, infrastructure, etc sectors.
