Aluminium prices came under pressure in the month of November mainly taking cues from a stronger dollar, rise in risk aversion in the global markets and sharp increase in Shanghai inventories. Additionally, escalating worries with respect to global economic growth created demand concerns for the metal, thus exerting further pressure on prices. In the month of November, prices slipped below the level of 2000 dollars/tonne and declined around 5 percent on the LME in the same period. But on the MCX, prices closed in the positive territory in November on account of sharp depreciation in the Indian Rupee.
