Steel Long steel prices falls on poor offtake

The last month of the financial year 2015 witnessed a declining trend as regards the long steel product prices across the country. The prices of Mild Steel (MS] ingots at all the major markets declined by Rs 500 to 1400/MT with the Mumbai market accounting for an overall fall of Rs 1,400/MT witnessed during the month. The Raipur and Ghaziabad markets fell by around Rs 500/MT during the month. There was higher intra- month volatility witnessed in many of the markets with some markets, viz Mumbai and Raipur witnessing a fall of Rs 2,000/MT during the mid of the month from the month opening rates.
