Euro friendly Cat arrives

Caterpillar have added a new Euro friendly excavator to their line-up. The 319C LN hydraulic excavator has been designed to meet the 2.49m wide undercarriage requirements and regulations regarding transport of some of the European states. The new model slots in between the existing 318C L and the 320C LN and weighs in at 20tonnes. It shares common elements with both sister models including the engine and hydraulic components. The main distinguishing feature of the 319C LN is the coupling of a 318C upper frame with the 4.45-metre undercarriage used on the 320C LN. This configuration offers customers considerably improved lifting capacities in relation to the 318C N, while still maintaining a 2.49-metre shipping width that does not require a transport permit in several European countries.
