In 1987, Krupp took over Werner & Pfleiderer; the company which pioneered the operating principle used on internal mixers to this day as well as the worldwide renowned Masticator rubber processing machine. Ten years later; in April 1997, Kruppmerged Werner & Pfleiderer with its rubber machinery business in Hamburg-Harburg to form a new enterprise: Krupp Elastomertechnik. This has proven a perfect match. The coordination of the companies' activities has resulted in even greater potential forinnovation and a unique combination of proven and future-orientated technologies.
