Gold producer posts positive results

DRD Gold announced a 4% increase in gold production to 59 866 oz for the quarter ended December 31 2009, which, together with a higher rand gold price, received a drop in cash operating costs, resulting in a cash operating profit of R87,4-million, compared with the previous quarter's R4,2-million loss.
