Waste energy

Environmental considerations are taking priority in the search for new sources of fuel. With natural resources becoming more finite, those techniques that can put waste products to good use and thereby kill two birds with one stone are gaining favour. Farm animals produce thousands of tons of organic waste each year -far more than could ever be used to fertilise the land. The bio gas plant operated by Schradenbiogas GmbH in Gm den just north of Dresden is authorised to recycle 110,000 tons of organic waste each year to convert into thermal energy and electricity.
