COLOMBIA COFFEE OUTPUT AAAY REACH 20-YEAR HIGH IN2014/15

Colombia's output of washed arabica coffee in June 2015 amounted to 1.240 mln 60-kg bags, up 31% from 944,000 in the same month last year and the highest monthly total since 1.404 mln bags were produced in January 2008. For the month of June it was even the highest total since 1.506 mln bags were produced in 1995, or 20 years ago. This brought production in the first nine months of the 2014/15 (Oct/Sep) season to 9.548 mln bags, up 8% on the preceding season's 8.825 mln and the largest since 2007/08's 10.132 mln bags for this period.
