Not all of the midstream's current LNG investment goes to gigantic plants with multibillion doiiar pricetags, the kind that knock out a tanker-load-a-day of liquefied methane. Multiple, small-scale uses for LNG as a transportation and industrial fuel-given its lower cost compared to diesel fuel or gasoline-have growing interest.
