Court Square Capital to acquire Pike Corp.

Specialty construction and engineering firm Pike Corp. signed a definitive merger agreement under which investment firm Court Square Capital Partners, in partnership with Pike Corp.'s chairman and CEO J. Eric Pike, will acquire Pike Corp. in a transaction where company shareholders will receive $12 in cash per share of common stock held. The price represents a premium of about 50.8% over Pike Corp.'s closing price on Aug. 1.
