D-series cab reaches 1000~(th) mark

The Pietermaritzburg-based company contracted to manufacture the D-series cab for the Bell ADT has celebrated the production of the 1000~(th) D-series cab. Global Composites managing director, Deon le Roux, says this milestone is a huge achievement for the company, which only started in 1999 with fewer than then employees. "Global Composites was formed with the Bell Equipment contract in mind. We moved into the vacant Nissan Sani premises in February 2001 and started production in July of the same year. This was quite an intensive start up process but due to the success of the Bell Equipment contract we are now able to grow our business in different directions," he explains.
