Macau Business Law and Legal System

This title is the only text ever published in English on the legal system and business law of Macao since the handover of this Portuguese territory to China in 1999. In the preface, the author claims to provide "an extended account of the matters covered in the 1999 Civil Code and the 1999 Commercial Code" in addition to "a solid introduction and a satisfactory depth of coverage" of the legal system and business law of this enclave. The materials in this book are said to have been used for teaching professional courses for auditors, bankers and insurance personnel, as well as both undergraduate and postgraduate law degree programmes in Macao. This book is composed of six chapters dealing with general features of the legal system, the law of persons, the law of obligations, civil and commercial contracts, company law and property law.
