Sapaminara Machinery Works of Mitsubishi Heavy industries, Ltd. has been promoting its development of diesei-powered portable generator set series. Recently, it has released 12 models from the MGP series ranging in power generating output of 25 kVA to 875 kVA, as shown in Fig-1. The appearance of the MGP 520 model is shown in Fig.2. The MGP series portable generators are expected to be used in the following applications. centre dot Power source in regions not serviced by an electric power company centre dot Power source for electric machineries at construction sites centre dot Power source for outdoor events or other temporary requirements centre dot Provisional power source for modification of plants, buildings, etc. centre dot Emergency power source in disaster area New integrated technology derived from diesel generator set design and manufacturing technology accumulated over the years at our Sagamihara Machinery Works made it possible to develop the MGP series sets which have the following excellent and competitive features.
