Canadian mining millionaire joins Clinton to help poor

MULTI-MILLIONAIRE Canadian mining financier Frank Giustra will devote the rest of his life to helping those in the developing world. Mr Giustra has donated 100 million US dollars and joined forces with Bill Clinton, former US president, to launch a sustainable development initiative which aims to use the expertise of mining companies to target projects at those most in need. The Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative, backed by Newmont Mining Corp and Teck Cominco Ltd, aims to bring together key parties to develop long-term economic programmes.
