The economic importance of Ball Clay

A report 'The Economic Importance of UK Ball Clay' has been produced by consultants, part funded by DTI, for the Kaolin and Ball Clay Association. The purpose of this report is to analyse the economic importance of ball clay to the local and national economy to assist policy formulation and decision-making at national, regional and local level. The Kaolin and Ball Clay Association comprises the two sole UK producers of ball clay, WBB Minerals and IMERYS Minerals Ltd. The independent project team was headed by SRK Consulting and comprised DTZ Pieda Consulting, British Geological Survey and CERAM Research Ltd.
