Lafayette tempts Chinese to Rapu Rapu

Perth-based Lafayette Mining Ltd has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with Jiangxi Copper Co. Ltd and China Non-Ferrous Metals concerning the Rapu Rapu polymetallic property in the Philippines. Rapu Rapu's Ungay deposit is estimated to contain reserves of 5.97 Mt at 2.5 g/t Au, 28 g/t Au, 1.2 percent Cu and 2.1 percent Zn (MJ, September 7, 2001, p.187).
