Microseismic monitoring

摘要

The Australian-based Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has developed a system that could lead to significant safety improvements in underground mining. The system uses an array of geophones at a mine to provide data on seismic activity caused by underground mining. The seismicity can be monitored up to 700 m from the working areas. The analysis of the data can then provide information on rock failure in the vicinity of the working area.
