Sandvik acquisition o sandvik smith expands drilling product lines

Sandvik Mining and Construction is proud to announce an agreement has been reached with U.S.-based Smith International Inc., Houston, Texas, to acquire its 50 percent interest in Sandvik Smith AB - expanding Sandvik drilling product lines. Since 2001, Sandvik Smith has been jointly owned by Sandvik (50 percent) and Smith International (50 percent). Operations comprise development, manufacturing, marketing and related technical service support of roller-cone bits for the mining and construction industries.
