In the recent- Ministers Responsible for Mining Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), held in Perth, Australia, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Juan Valdivia Romero, pointed out that mining project investment in Peru for the 2007-2011 five year period is estimated in 10 billion US dollars. The list presented by minister Valdivia included Toromocho (1,524 billion dollars), Las Bambas (1 billion), Bayovar (350 million), La Granja (1 billion), Michiquillay (1 billion), Rio Blanco (1 billion), Quellaveco (1 billion), Cerro Corona (300 million), Cerro Lindo (65 million), Marcobre (200 million), Los Chancas (700 million), Tia Maria (150 million), Antapaccay (800 million), Pucamarca (46 million), and others for 1 billion dollars.
