CIMA and EMI Memberships Approve Consolidation Two Leading Trade Groups Join in One Association for the Construction and Agricultural Equipment Industry

The memberships of the Equipment Manufacturers Institute (EMI) and Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA) have overwhelmingly voted to approve the consolidation of the two industry trade groups into one association. The new association will legally begin operation January 1, 2002.CIMA and EMI staffs and industry leaders are already coordinating implementation of a new organizational and administrative structure to enhance services and maximize efficiencies to the memberships of both groups. A name for the new association is under development and will be decided upon in the next few months.
