Milling Foundation of the Southwest inducts five into Class of 2008

The 26th annual American Mining Hall of Fame Awards Banquet and fundraiser, sponsored by the Mining Foundation of the Southwest, will be held at the Marriott University Park Hotel, Tucson, AZ on Saturday, Dec. 6,2008. The Mining Foundation of the Southwest is a nonprofit organization whose objectives are public education about the mineral industries, and recognition of outstanding accomplishments in and contributions to the fields of mineral and fuel resources. 2008 will mark the initiation of a major three-year joint statewide K-12 mining Educational Outreach Program by the foundation and the Arizona Department of Mines and Mineral Resources.
