CMA plans 99th National Western Mining Conference for February

"Mining Strategies For The 21st Cebtyrt" is a three-day session on strategic and tactical planning for the mining industry. It is also the theme for the 99th Annual National Western Mining Conference and Exhibition, put on by the Colorado Mining Association (CMA). The conference is scheduled for Feb. 25-28, 1996 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in Denver, CO. "Saccess in implementing sound strategic and tactical plans is a mandate for survival in the global economy of the 21st century," according to George Robinson, director of regional marketing for Harding Lawson Associates. He is also CMA Program Conference Chairman. "Mining companies are faced with complex issues," he said, "such as evolving markets, technology advancements, competition, rising costs, regulatory constraints and political change." The ability to compete in the changed economy will require industry to implement sound and successful strategic and tactical plans.
