ABB wins order to supply new copper mine with 28 million dollars in drive systems

ABB, one of the world's leading power and automation technology groups, announced that it won a contract valued more than 28 million dollars from Terrane Metals Corp. The contract includes the delivery of drive systems for the new Mount Milligan copper-gold mine in northwest Canada. ABB's solutions will help to optimize energy use and equipment reliability at the mine. Located 155 km (96 miles) northwest of Prince George in central British Columbia, the anticipated annual yield from Mount Milligan's copper-gold deposit is about 40 kt (44,000 st) of copper and 6.7 t (217,000 oz) of gold.
