Excerpts from minutes of the IndMD's Executive Committee and annual business meetings

The Industrial Minerals Division (IndMD) Executive Committee meeting was called to order on Feb. 23, 2003 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cincinnati, OH by Kathy Littleton, division chair. Attending the meeting were Frank Alsobrook, Roger Austin, Aldo Barsotti, Fred Heivilin, Marc Herpfer, Jessica Kogel, Robert Pruett, James Barker, Robert Ganis, Byron Hardinge, Todd Harris, William Langer, Tom O'Neil, Nikhil Trivedi and Edith Yoder (SME staff). 2002 division chair's report - Littleton discussed membership statistics, scholarship activity, awards, 2003 programming, the first Dreyer Conference and bylaws issues. Hardinge donated an antique Brunton compass to the division's silent auction. Treasurer's report - Pruett submitted financial reports for the division and Henderson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The balances on Nov. 30, 2002 were 12,355.25 dollars and 49,892.66, dollars respectively.
