Fixed plant to be next target for QPA H&S campaign

Manufacturers of machinery such as ready-mix and asphalt plant will be the target of the next Quarry Products Association (QPA) campaign to reduce the number of plant related health and safety incidents at UK sites, MQR understands. Resources permitting, the QPA hopes to extend its current focus on mobile plant to fixed plant by the latter half of next year. It is seeking to spend the first half of the year communicating with manufacturers over its require- ments before hopefully launching some form of campaign by late 2008.
