Atlas Copco Construction Tool's HB 7000 hydraulic rock breaker is the largest of its kind in the world. Featuring Krupp percussion technology, the HB 7000's 6.3t-(7-st) service weight makes the ondary quarry rock breaking. The breaker's hydraulic flow is 7.5L/sev (119 gpm) at 18Mpa (2,610 psi) of pressure. This allows the HB 70000 to deliver an impact rate of up to 450 bpm. The HB 7000's AutoControl monitoring system allows the hammer to adapt its frequency and power output to match operating conditions. It begins by firing the first stroke at half power to create a pilot notch that will center the working tool and prevent unnecessary slippage. It then adjusts the power output to match the density of the specified material to be broken. This reduces excess shock to the hammer and carrier, lengthening the service life on tension bolts and retainer bars.
