Coal and Energy Division offers a 5,000 dollars research scholarship

The Coal & Energy (C&E) Division is offering a 5,000 dollars Undergraduate Research Scholarship in support of applied research on coal and energy topics. Any topic dealing with some segment of the coal or energy fields may be selected. The research must contain a hands-on component, such as data collection from a site (e.g., a coal mine, a preparation plant, a utility, a methane extraction system) or experiments conducted on samples collected from a site. Purely theoretical or simulation research, such as a paper based on a literature search, is not the focus of this scholarship. The intent is to offer undergraduate students a funded opportunity to explore the coal and energy industries prior to the start of their professional careers.
