PAK FA BUILD RESIN SHOP'S RENDITION OF A STUNNING NEW RUSSIAN DESIGN

This is just a quick build article using the Russian resin kit described in the September issue of Model Aviation World. The resin parts were all carefully removed from their pouring blocks, cleaned up and washed in warm soapy water to remove any mould release agent before construction began. The cockpit tub and side consoles were painted light blue-grey (No. 65 Hellblau) and the raised detail picked out. The front console and coaming is No. 67 Tank Grey with black detail - and a couple of rectangular decals to represent the MFD screens. A homemade HUD was added on top of the coaming, tinted yellow. The final addition to the excellent cockpit is the K-36 ejection seat - painted black with the seat belts picked out in light grey. I added the red-painted firing handles from an old etched-brass set - Photo 1.
