The Olympic flame,first introduced at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam,is an enduring symbol of the Olympic ideals of noble competition,friendship,culture,and education.The 2004 Summer Olympiad's torch burns a mixture of butane and propylene for a rich orange hue,and is manufactured to burn for 20 minutes.Each torchbearer carries an individual torch and passes the flame torch-to-torch.More than 10,000 torchbearers will participate worldwide.
