A Powder Box of High-Grade Uranium Ore from the 50's Uranium Boom

After reading the two excellent (and award winning) articles, several times, on "The 50's Uranium Boom" by Bob Werner that appeared this past year in "Mineral News", it re-kindled a few memories of my involvement with uranium mining. It also reminded me of a wooden powder box of high grade uranium ore that has been sitting in my closet, in both Colorado and New Mexico, for the last 3 7 years. The box contained highly radioactive uraninite (no wonder I have a slight green glow in the dark) from the Radium King mine, Red Canyon, (White Canyon District) San Juan County, Utah.
