HEATHER GRANT reports on the development of the Thatcham Times System (ITS) for vehicle repairers and how the research centre gathers and applies information on latest vehicles. It's been over 15 years since research and training organisation Thatcham launched its job times and methods standards for the repair industry. Known as the Thatcham Time System (TTS), it features the times for replacing parts and panels, as well as incorporating the repair methods used in its describe data access service. The data is also available via the majority of estimating systems.
