The issue of trade between South Korea and the European Union has been a running sore in the auto industry ever since Korean vehicle manufacturers appeared on the European radar. And despite the signing of a free trade agreement between the EU and Korean authorities, which pledges to sweep away most tariff barriers between the trading partners, the European automakers' body ACEA continues to seethe about the apparent imbalances that remain.
