The major NewGenGold 2001 Conference and Exhibition was held in Perth, Western Australia, in November 2001.NewGenGold, held biennially, is the pre-eminent gold exploration conference worldwide.The 2001 conference focused on the discovery case histories of new gold mines and soon-to be developed gold projects. The papers presented detailed conceptual thinking, area selection and exploration that led to important discoveries in Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Pacific and Alaska.
