MIM recently paid a visit to Bristol-based IMl Awards approved centre, S&B Automotive Academy, to find out how it's been harnessing technology to revolutionise work-based assessments. Jon Winter (pictured, below) is Chief Executive at S&B Automotive Academy and as we settle in to one of the Academy's meeting rooms, it is immediately clear how passionate he is about 'i-assessment'. "It all started a few years ago with the inception of Project Jericho. The synopsis of this project was to break down the barriers of competence assessment through the development of a true on-demand online assessment system, and at the same time reduce the carbon foot print of the assessment team by cutting down on the need to travel. This of course would have the knock-on effect of lessening expenditure - so economically beneficial as well as environmentally."
