Luxury boats and cars: A natural fit

Land Rover was prominent at the recent Boat and Caravan Show at the NEC when it showcased the new TrailAir system which monitors tyre pressures of both the vehicle and the trailer and incorporates a camera to make hitching easier. And since both boat and caravan owners need a tow vehicle, it makes sense that Land Rover should make its presence felt at a show like this. Land Rover also had a rather muted presence at this year's London Boat Show, along with Maserati which paraded a couple of models against a background of Sunseekers, Fairlines and Benettis. Yet surely there should be more luxury car makers at boat shows because they are fishing in exactly the same pond as the boat builders for those with large disposable incomes.
