TWO CAN PLAY AT THAT GAME

Looking at the developments in the electrification of the powered two-wheeler market. Electric, hybrid and alternative powered cars are now an almost regular feature in magazines keen to chart the progress being made to provide power that moves away from fossil fuel. In fact this magazine too has played its part in bringing attention to the advances being made right the way through from the basic cars from mainstream manufacturers to the Tesla and exotica like the BMW i8. However, on the powered two-wheeled (PTW) front it has been a different story and progress has been slow, as has acceptance by the motorcycle buying public who tend to be conservative (with a small 'c') in their views. Until recently most electric single track vehicles have been centred on 'twist and go' style scooters aimed at the basic commuter market with their short journeys - and therefore of little interest to the motorcycle press who tend to focus on the opposite end of the market.
