Lamborghini celebrates 50 years as a car manufacturer this year and it is remarkable to think that within three years of starting from scratch, the company produced the fastest production road car in the world, the Lamborghini Miura. Ferruccio Lamborghini may have been new to car manufacturing, but he wasn't new to the motor industry having established himself as a successful farm tractor manufacturer after WWII. He also established companies producing hearing and air conditioning equipment.
