DRIVES: Citroen C4 Picasso

MPVs have been a solid staple of the Citroen lineup since the arrival of the Xsara Picasso way back in 1999. The problem is they have never really been desirable. You bought one because family commitments meant you needed the space and didn't fancy an SUV. Ironically, while rival brands have exploited the 4x4 style vehicle, the Citroen and Peugeot offerings - the Mitsubishi-based C-Crosser and 4007 respectively - sank without a trace in the UK. That's allowed the sibling brands to concentrate on the people carriers, and the all-new C4 Picasso is head and shoulders above anything Citroen has ever done in this segment before.
