Allard Chrysler Action Group Chairman Brian Taylor reports on the progress achieved so far in the project to restore Europe's first dragster. Since the announcement about the IMI endorsing the restoration the Sydney Allard's 1961 Allard Chrysler owned by the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu - several sub-assemblies of the car have been restored with the help of new supporters. It's a far from simple process with many components now unavailable and others very rare. There are no manuals for reference so resourcefulness and creativity are crucial attributes.
