Sharon Ashcroft looks at why, when it comes to recruitment, holding previous experience doesn't necessarily equate to performance in the role. The automotive retail industry has traditionally recruited people from within. Their experience of the sales department means they are able to hit the ground running and sell vehicles from the moment they join the company.
