Record Owner Construed in Nebraska's Dormant Mineral Statutes Continuing with the recent flurry of cases to reach the Nebraska Supreme Court involving disputed mineral interests are two more that sought to restore previously severed mineral interests to the surface owner. In a matter of first impression, both cases considered what records may be used to demonstrate ownership for purposes of avoiding forfeiture under the dormant mineral statutes.
