The Secretary of the Department of the Interior continued the restructuring of the agency formerly known as the Minerals Management Service (MMS) with the issuance of Secretarial Order No. 3306 on September 30,2010, and new regulations on October 4,2010. By way of background, on May 19,2010, by Secretarial Order No. 3299, the Secretary announced the restructuring of MMS. On June 18, 2010, by Secretarial Order No. 3302, the Secretary announced the name change of MMS to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE).
