Pretium's gold rush--RESOURCE ESTIMATES ARE OPTIMISTIC FOR A HIGH-GRADE GOLD PROJECT IN NORTHERN B.C.

Following a brief retirement in 2010 after leading silver explorer and producer Silver Standard Resources Inc., Bob Quartermain returned to precious metals with a new gold venture: Vancouver-based Pretium Resources Inc. Quarter-main, president and CEO, says the company name means "value" in Latin. In late 2010, Pretium acquired the Brucejack and Snowfield gold projects in northern British Columbia from Silver Standard and closed an Initial Public Offering that raised more than $265 million. Pretium is aggressively advancing the Brucejack project. The company recently reported (April 2012) a high-grade mineral resource estimate for the project's Valley of the Kings and West Zone. The resource estimate was part of a feasibility study now underway.
