When CSMAA celebrates its 100th anniversary October 19-21, it will be the culmination of three years of work by a dedicated group of alumni volunteers. The CSMAA Centennial Commit-tee has been meeting regularly since September 1992 in preparation for this bistoric event, according to Centennial Chairman David E Coolbaugh '43. The centennial is being commemorated with a weekend celebration in coordination with Homecoming, and with the deification of an alumni monument on the south lawn of Guggenheim Hall on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 21. A time capsule will be burried adjacent adjacent to the monument later this year. An historical folio about the school and CSMAA has been prepared by Bud Vaseen'39, Roland Fischer '42, and Bob Hancock '42, part of which comprises this pecial commemorative issue of Mines Magazine.
