Outokumpo Technology, has strengthened its position as a major supplier to the alumina and aluminium industries. The company has recently concluded agreements worth more than 55 million euros with Alunorte Alumina do Norte do Brash S/A for the supply of equipment, basic and detailed engineering, erection and commissioning for two turn-key calcination units with a capacity of 3,300 tpd alumina each. After installation of these units at the end of 2005, the Alunorte refinery will have the world's largest Circulating Fluidized Bed based production capacity of more than 14,000 tpd alumina.
