THERE IS A scene in the 2006 film Borat when the protagonist (Borat Sagdiyev, a Kazakhstan television journalist, played by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen) riles a group of American rednecks at a rodeo after he is allowed to sing a fictional version of the Kazakh national anthem to the tune of The Star Spangled Banner. Interestingly, one of the lyrics of this highly amusing rendition mentions the fact that the former Soviet Union nation is "the number one exporter of potassium in the world".
