Copper re-draw rod manufacture from cast wire bars followed by rolling

Today; several different processes ore used to manufacture copper re-draw rod. Most of these are based upon continuously cast product that is made directly from melting high quality cathodes. A small number of wire-rod plants remain today, which still manufacture from cast wire bars followed by rolling. However, as the availability of traditional copper wire bars diminishes, so this process will also decline in use.
